Mud Run Fun for Charity

How many years has it been since you have played in the mud?  Now is the time to plan to get "down and dirty" with other fun-loving people in the Brainerd Area's third annual Mud Run Fun for charity.  

Lakes Area Disabilities Ministries, an organization that serves the needs of people with disabilities, will be the recipients of this fundraiser.   The zany event is planned for Sunday, September 2nd at 1:00 at the beautiful and rustic Camp Lake Placid in Pillager.  (This is over the Labor Day weekend).  The 6K foot race will include three water/mud pits, wooded trails, and a few obstacles. There will be a kid's 1/2 mile event, also.  

After the race, there will be prizes and food including farm fresh corn-on-the-cob!  You may rinse off in the Crow Wing River (Lake Placid) or get hosed off by the Pillager Fire Department.  Bring the whole family and/or gather your team and become "Muddy Soles" with us! 

You do not need to be a trained athlete for this event, but you must come with a wonderful sense of adventure.   Awards will be given for best costumes both as individuals and teams.  Mark your calendars for this fun and unique event!
