Event Description:
It’s off to the Nisswa Turtle Races on Wednesdays throughout the summer. Races start at 2:00 pm each Wednesday, June through August. The official turtle-racing track is on Main Street. The event draws huge crowds each week. Registration begins at 1:00 pm. Be sure to get there early. Turtle vendors provide turtles to entrants who pay a nominal registration fee to enter the races. Awards are given out for the grand champion turtle race, resort race, tiny tots race, out of town race, local race and grandparents race.
