about us
Our 26 foot tall Paul Bunyan was moved from the Chicago Railroad Fair to Brainerd in 1951. For almost 60 years Paul has greeted youngsters by name. A visit each summer to see and hear Paul has been a family tradition.
Amusement rides for little ones to teenagers and adults include favorites like the Ferris Wheel, Long Train Ride, Tilt-A-Whirl, Dodge-em-Cars, Merry Go Round, Zumur Swings, Space Shuttle and many more. The Pioneer Village features 30 buildings which date back to the late 1800's and early 1900's. All buildings are full sized and furnished such as a blacksmith shop, fire station, old time saloon, train depot, church, log house, print shop, school house, trading post and a doctor/dentist office.
Gate admission includes use of all rides and attractions as well as the Pioneer Village.
A special event in 2011 is Show Days, August 13 and 14, in the Pioneer Village. Featured are live demonstrations of the Lumber Sawmill, Shingle Making and more. An antique farm tractor and vintage auto parade takes place in the afternoon both days.
Although the Amusement Park and Pioneer Village close for the season after Labor Day, two events take place in October and December of 2011. A Haunted Corn Maze is open the last three weekends of the month of October (Friday/Saturday) from 6-10 p.m. The Enchanted Holiday Pioneer Village is open several weekends in December from 6-9 p.m. For further information visit: www.PaulBunyanLand.com.
