Brainerd, Minnesota, is home to the Midwest’s largest racetrack, Brainerd International Raceway, which each August hosts the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, when Top Fuel and Funny Car drivers compete. The NHRA Nationals this year are August 16-19, 2012. A new event this year is the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, which will be part of the Fourth Annual Street Car Showdown Memorial Day weekend. BIR also is host to the BIR Performance Driving School and the StreetSmart Teen Driving School.
