Snowmobile restrictions lifted on Paul Bunyan Trail. The Brainerd DNR Parks and Trails office announced that the signs prohibiting snowmobiles with metal traction devices from using the trail have been removed on the south end of the Paul Bunyan State Trail. Studded snowmobiles now are allowed on any stretch of the trail from Brainerd to Bemidji.

The snow is gone in the Brained Lakes Area, the clubs are shutting gates and closing down the trail system. Currently the ice on the lakes is unsafe so travel anywhere by sled is restricted. Remember that most snowmobile trails in the CWCSTA system are close to ATV traffic. Please respect our landowners. Trails officially close on April 1st.
