Welcome to Hockey Day Minnesota 2027&mdash\;where the spirit of the State of Hockey comes alive in the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area. Proudly selected by the Minnesota Wild and FanDuel Sports Network\, this historic event will take center stage in late January 2027 at the legendary Brainerd International Raceway&mdash\;transformed into a one-of-a-kind outdoor hockey destination unlike anything seen before.
For one unforgettable week\, the roar of engines gives way to the sound of skates carving ice as youth\, high school\, college\, and professional athletes unite in a festival that celebrates the game at every level. It&rsquo\;s more than hockey&mdash\;it&rsquo\;s a full-scale winter experience\, blending competition\, community\, and the unmistakable energy of Minnesota winters.
Rooted in a rich hockey tradition\, the Brainerd Lakes Area has shaped some of the game&rsquo\;s most respected names&mdash\;from Herb Brooks\, Doug Woog\, Chuck Grillo\, Bill Baker\, Phil Verchota\, Josh Archibald\, Mitch McLain\, Cole Smith to today&rsquo\;s rising stars. In 2027\, we honor that legacy while inspiring the next generation\, sharing our stories on a statewide&mdash\;and national&mdash\;stage.
But Hockey Day Minnesota 2027 is about more than the game. It&rsquo\;s about community pride. It&rsquo\;s about bringing people together in the heart of winter to celebrate what makes this region so special. It&rsquo\;s about fueling our local economy during the offseason\, supporting our businesses\, and showcasing the Brainerd Lakes Area as a premier year-round destination.
Most importantly\, this event creates a lasting legacy. Every dollar raised will help expand local youth hockey programs&mdash\;giving more kids the opportunity to play\, grow\, and dream on the ice for generations to come.
This is your invitation to be part of something bigger. To experience the magic of outdoor hockey. To celebrate tradition\, connection\, and community.
Together\, we Unite on the Ice&mdash\;and make history in 2027.
