They have three children.Websites: www.paulomanfineart.com www.drawn-to-the-word.com Email: paul@paulomanfineart.com FACEBOOK https://www.facebook.com/DrawnToTheWordPaulOmanFineArtSuggested List of Materials Paul's List of Materials: I have listed materials that I use. You do not have to purchase these particular materials if you already have your own. Substitutes will do.Paints: I use Windsor $ Newton professional grade tube paints. There are several brands of professional grade watercolor paint available which are equally as good. Quality student grade watercolors (e.g. Academy [Grumbacher] or Cotman [Windsor & Newton] work OK and are less expensive.Recommended Colors: Cadmium Yellow Light or Windsor Yellow\, Raw Sienna\, Raw Umber\, Burnt Sienna\, Alizarin Crimson\, French Ultramarine\, Cobalt Blue\, Cerulean Blue.Additional Colors: (not necessary but lots of fun!): Cadmium Red\, Permanent Rose\, Permanent Sap Green\, Quinacridone Gold\, Paynes Gray\, Permanent White Goauche.Painting Palette: I use a John Pike painting palette. However\, any palette which has a larger-sized mixing area or areas is good.Brushes: A variety of brushes will work. Here are some I use:Flats ranging from 1/2 to 2 in width.Rounds\, #'s 6\, 8 & 10A script brush (also called a rigger) for fine line detail.Watercolor Paper: There are many papers you can buy. Your most cost-efficient means would be to buy a tablet of high quality watercolor paper. I prefer 140 pound Arches Cold Press or Rough paper\, either sheets or blocks (stack of paper glued together on the edges). Whatever paper you buy\, I strongly suggest you do NOT get a paper that has a shiny appearance to the surface. These can be very frustrating to paint on. In my opinion\, it is worth every penny to buy a higher quality paper so you can experience success.Something to Put Your Paper On: You will need a flat surface on which to place and/or fasten your paper\, such as a piece of plywood or tile board\, and a 2-3 in prop for under your board (wood block or book\, etc. ).Other Supplies that are helpful (*=required):*masking tape (I use this to tape my paper to the board)*#2 or softer pencil*kneaded eraser*sketch pad*sunglasses (helps to see values quickly)Art Masking Fluid (not necessary)Spray bottle for water (very helpful)saltspongeWhere to get your supplies:1.
