JULY 22                RAIN BARRELS AND RAIN GARDENS
Due to environmental concerns, rain gardens are one of the fastest growing gardening practices in Minnesota.  A rain garden is an attractive landscape feature planted with perennial native plants.  A rain garden is a shallow-shaped area, designed to absorb excess rainwater runoff.  The garden’s loose soil and the native plants’ deep root systems will increase run off absorption as well as the removal of pollutants that might be present in that run off.
Presenter:  jackie Froemming, Crow Wing County Extension Coordinator

AUGUST 26            PUTTING YOUR GARDEN TO BED
