In your organization (and life, quite frankly!) everyone sells. You are selling yourself, your service, a product, your time, or an idea.
Whether you realize it or not, everyone helps sell products and services through their customer interactions. This workshop is for anyone who wants to make a bigger impact. Managers, it’s a great way to help your team strengthen customer relationships and contribute to the overall success of your business.
Why Sales Training for Everyone?
Regardless of your role, it is necessary to create collaborative conversations. What is your goal in the conversation? What do you want them to know? How do you want them to feel? When you focus on the goal of serving others, you are able to align your intentions for their benefit. And that takes initiative and leadership. This starts with changing the beliefs of "the typical salesperson" and replacing it with an inquiring servant by asking questions to help others discover and uncover their reasons to make a change. As Blaise Pascal writes, “People are usually more convinced by reasons they discover themselves than by those found by others.” When you have reasons for a change, persuading others becomes a service.

Scott Plum started his sales career at age 21 in 1987 selling real estate. He founded the Minnesota Sales Institute in 2002 to teach salespeople how to increase their closing ratio, generate more revenue and stop cutting their price to win the business.
He offers individual coaching, sales classes and workshops for salespeople and consulting on strategy, compensation, and territory management for leadership. He is an authorized partner for Everything DiSC and 5 Behaviors of a Team.
He is Professor Plum and co-host of the weekly podcast “Winning at Selling Podcast.” And is the author of Taking Off into The Wind: Creating Lift Out of Life.
He is the only Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE) in Minnesota and has taught ALL the classes for the Real Estate Negotiation Institute (RENI).
Scott has served as president of the Professional Sales Association (PSA) from 2011-14 and the Sales and Marketing Executives (SME) from 2014-15. And vice president of the National Speakers Association (NSA) in Minnesota from 2015-17.
