Join us for happy hour at the Team Captain Kickoff Party/Open House in Brainerd to learn how you can get involved with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s - Brainerd Lakes Area!

There are lots of ways to use your interests and build skills to advance the cause and have fun doing it! Tuesday, June 4, 2024 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. At Dunmire's on the Lakes at 19090 MN-371, Brainerd, MN 56401 Pizza and salad will be provided! A cash bar will be available as well. 

You'll be able to learn more about the local support offered to caregivers and those living with Alzheimer's and dementia by the Alzheimer's Association and how the Walk supports our local community! 

We'll have stations available to help with: 

- Registration 

- Getting set up on the Walk to End ALZ app (those that use the app raise 3x more than those that don't!) 

- Setting up Facebook Fundraisers (those that use the app raise 5x more than those that don't!) 

- Literature with information and education supplies 

- Local fundraising supplies (Forget Me Nots, etc.); 

- A station and photobooth to help you write down and showcase Your Why

About Walk to End Alzheimer's: Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. 

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s® - Brainerd Lakes Area will be hosted at Forestview Middle School on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The Walk is an inspiring event full of hope, a reminder that no one has to do this alone. It is a great way to honor a loved one and connect with a community of others impacted by this disease.
