The Legacy Chorale brings you Friend 'n' Fundraiser -- A Virtual Fundraising Event

The Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota will be holding their first-ever virtual fundraiser on Saturday, October 3, 2020, beginning at 7:00 PM.  Entitled, “You Raise Me Up:  A Friend ‘n’ Fundraiser,” the event will be presented on YouTube.  Viewers will enjoy a catered dinner to pick-up and bring home, select pre-recorded performances by the chorale from their past 18 seasons, an online silent auction, and a virtual video performance of the Josh Groban hit, “You Raise Me Up,” created this summer by members of the chorale.

Local radio personality Lon Schmidt will be the MC for the live portions of the event, with supporting dialogue from Artistic Director, Sarah Aamot; Legacy Board President, Jennifer Pedersen; and Anne McMahon, the organization’s Administrative Assistant.  Audio and visual support will be provided by Mike and Preston Owen, Keith Bingelli, and Adam Reinwald.  

A Catered Dinner prepared by Lakes Catering will be available for $35.00 per person, $20.00 of which is tax deductible as a donation. 

The menu, created by Lakes Catering owner, Kevin Stump, includes an appetizer of Squash Soup, Dinner Salad, and Dinner Roll with butter; entrée of a 2 oz. Ham Wing and ¼ chicken with BBQ Sauce, Roasted Baby Potatoes, and Petite Corn on the Cob; and a delectable dessert of Apple Crisp Cobbler with Caramel topping. 

Those wanting the catered dinner are asked to pre-order their meals and pay at the same time.   Dinner order deadline is Monday, September 28th.  Contact Anne McMahon at admin@legacychorale.org to order your dinner(s).

Dinner serving date and time is the night of the event--Saturday, October 3rd--from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Baxter Cafe and Catering restaurant in Baxter; the address is 7788 Fairview Rd. N., Baxter, MN 56425. 

Diners are also instructed to call ahead the night of the fundraiser to give their ETA and a description of their car make/color to Anne by calling 651-303-3701.  When patrons arrive at the pick-up area, Legacy Food Runners will bring the dinner(s) to their car!  

One week prior to the Fundraiser, on Saturday, September 26th, the online auction will go live with over 200 items on which to bid.  Legacy member Diana Charboneau and her team will have gathered and put together a beautiful display of the auction items in room 101 of the Franklin Arts Center, 1001 Kingwood St., Brainerd, MN.  You are invited to come to Franklin Arts Center beginning September 28 through October 2, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday, to view the auction items and get help with online registration.  Please note:  you will need a current credit card number registered to bid; no checks or money orders accepted.
