Join the Whitefish Area Property Owners Association, the Whitefish Chain Yacht Club and Crow Wing Kayaks to hear Jay Gustafson, aka Waterway Jay, share stories about his paddle trip all the way down the Mississippi River, and his paddling of 34 Minnesota Rivers in the past few years. Jay will tell us about these canoe trips and what motivates him to do it. As you might have guessed, he is all about protecting water quality and making everyone aware of its importance.
Waterway Jay’s mission is to try and get the message of water quality awareness out there to people across the state. He believes there is a crisis occurring in Minnesota waters, with nearly half our water contaminated.
Through opportunities to present his story to engaged outdoor groups and individual citizens, he hopes to see everybody consider their daily interactions with water, and to find one thing they can do to affect positive change for water quality.
Social Hour 5:30pm – 6:30pm with complimentary appetizers (cash bar)
